Chelsea’s star player took a cheeky jab at West Ham with a playful two-word message following their impressive 3-0 victory.

Tosin Adarabioyo made his Premier League debut for Chelsea under Enzo Maresca during their trip to West Ham.

Tosin Adarabioyo, a Fulham alumnus, couldn’t help but take a jab at West Ham after Chelsea’s 3-0 victory, marking his first Premier League start for his childhood club. Filling in due to a defensive reshuffle, he partnered with Levi Colwill at center-back. Had Chelsea failed to clinch their first win at the London Stadium since Timo Werner’s goal in April 2022 under Thomas Tuchel, Adarabioyo’s debut might not have felt so celebratory. His playful remarks added to the rivalry and reflected his confidence following a solid performance.

Chelsea strengthened their lead after halftime with Cole Palmer scoring, allowing the team to bounce back from a tense finish to the first half. By the end of the match, Head Coach Enzo Maresca was ecstatic, praising the team’s performance and the significance of the win.

Especially with the performance and the three points, that’s the most important thing,” he remarked after the game. “And a clean sheet, so it’s been a complete performance. We are very happy.”

Maresca cleverly moved Wesley Fofana to right-back in light of Malo Gusto and Reece James being unavailable. Fofana’s role proved pivotal, helping Chelsea achieve back-to-back clean sheets in away league matches—a first since October 2022—even as both West Ham and Bournemouth posed threats. Nicolas Jackson’s early double put the Blues firmly in command.

This kind of banter can easily backfire if results don’t go as planned, but fortunately for the confident Adarabioyo, he anchored a solid performance at the London Stadium.

After the match, he continued the playful tone, posting, “Pop, pop. [bubbles emoji].” This cheeky attitude reflects his growing confidence since joining Chelsea and adds to the fun rivalry between the clubs.
