During her media availability session, Angel Reese was asked about the Chicago Sky’s disappointing season and what changes are needed for 2025. She acknowledged the team could make adjustments, especially through free agency, and expressed confidence in head coach Teresa Weatherspoon’s leadership. Reese believes the team will continue to improve and is optimistic about the upcoming season.
Angel Reese answered a number of interesting questions during her Tuesday media availability. She was questioned about a number of topics, chief among them the Chicago Sky’s dismal season and what this squad needs to do to turn the tide for the following year. Reese indicated that some squad adjustments could be coming when Chicago Sun-Times Sky writer Annie Costabile questioned him about the team’s greatest need going into 2025. “I think we’re all just going to continue to get better,” she stated. “Obviously, we’re gonna have free agency, we’re gonna have people that we’re looking at as well.
Along with the current team’s veterans and maybe a few new players who may join in the offseason, Reese expressed her desire to take a more active role as a leader on the team.

The former LSU standout concluded by promising to use every resource at her disposal to aid in the recruiting process as the squad aims to add some new players for the next campaign. “Obviously to do what I can because I’m a good GM a little bit on the low,” she laughed. “But being able just to help as best as I can and just being able to do whatever it takes for somebody to want to come to this organization and feel comfortable and loved and wanting to come here and do what we want to do, and that’s win.” With a 13-27 record at the end, the Sky fell two games short of the eighth and final postseason spot in the game.
