Barcelona has announced that Lamine Yamal sustained a left hamstring injury while limping off during Spain’s 1-0 win over Denmark. Initially, it was reported he might only have a strain, but after returning to Barcelona, he did not participate in training on Monday. Although the club hasn’t specified a recovery timeline, several reports suggest he may not be sidelined for long. However, he could be rested for the upcoming match against Sevilla as a precaution.
Barcelona would be reluctant to lose Lamine Yamal for any length of time, especially with crucial matches against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Espanyol on the horizon after Sevilla. Yamal has been a key player this season, registering 5 goals and 5 assists in 11 games. With Ferran Torres also out, his absence would likely mean relying on Pau Victor or Ansu Fati in attack, or shifting Fermin Lopez or Dani Olmo to different positions to cover for him.
