Superstar Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever refuted reports that DiJonai Carrington intentionally struck her in the right eye during a Sunday basketball game.
Carrington maintained that the injury was an accident and denied any malice toward Clark. “I have no idea why I would want to strike someone in the eye. I just don’t get that at all. No, I didn’t, though. She said to Christine Brennan of USA Today, “Actually, I didn’t even know I hit her in the eye.” Actually, I was attempting to make a play with the ball.
According to ESPN, Clark stated that she and her eye were both feeling better. After losing to the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, the Indiana Fever is now one game away from being eliminated. The defensive play of the club disappointed Christie Sides, the coach of the Fever.
Clark is aware of the importance of the circumstance as well. “I want this to go on forever. Our organization has had a really remarkable year, in my opinion. We want to make the playoffs, but everyone in our locker room thinks we can win this series. We definitely need to win this, and we think we can come in here and do just that.
