After two games of the season, the Minnesota Vikings have emerged as one of the NFL’s most surprising teams.
The Minnesota Vikings have won their first two games, including a contest against the San Francisco 49ers, despite the public’s lack of confidence in them.
Their defense has also performed admirably when needed, and Sam Darnold has performed far better than anticipated.
Even if they’ve performed admirably thus far, they can always improve.
Kwon Alexander was among the four guys the Vikings recently worked out, as reporter Aaron Wilson recently noted on X.
They also examined Caleb Johnson, Damarion Williams, and Ekow Boye-Doe.
While there is considerable curiosity to be found in all four athletes, Alexander stands out the most.
After departing the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he was a brutal force in the league and has since bounced around.
The Pittsburgh Steelers decided not to keep Alexander on injured reserve after he tore his Achilles last season, and he was placed on injured reserve.
Hopefully, he’s back to full health, and if the Vikings are impressed with him, he might even consider joining their practice squad.
If nothing else, Alexander’s expertise might be invaluable to any team in the league as a seasoned presence in the locker room.
He might also play a significant role if he still has gas left in the tank, but that is yet to be determined.
For now, the Vikings will move forward with the team they have, hoping they can do enough to bring their season record to 3-0.
