Everton line-ups for Southampton as Roman Dixon, Jake O’Brien and Abdoulaye Doucoure decisions made

After a fourth straight defeat, and another painful collapse, Everton will be looking to find comfort in the Carabao Cup again tonight. Having eventually brushed aside Doncaster Rovers 3-0 at Goodison Park in the second round, this evening the Blues entertain Premier League rivals Southampton.

And with both sides facing huge early-season matches at the weekend – Southampton host Ipswich Town while Everton head to Leicester City – neither will want to go down to defeat in this evening’s third-round tie at Goodison Park.
